上周,小学PYP一、二、四年级开展了超学科主题探究成果展。一年级围绕“交通工具”,分海陆空三组,通过问题思考、海报制作与废旧搭建,完整展示探究闭环。融合STEAM理念,探究交通工具演变,并就“全球变暖”英语辩论,展现科学素养与批判性思维。二年级在“共享地球”主题下,用废旧品设计服装并走秀汇报,传递共享家园理念。四年级自信分享灾害安全计划,解析灾害成因、影响及社区应对,展现扎实研究能力。本次成果展,全程英语讲解,语言流畅;家长积极互动,赞誉成长。活动彰显主动探索与协同合作的综合素养。
Last week, Grade 1, 2, and 4 of the Primary Years Programme (PYP) held their celebration of learning based on transdisciplinary themes. Grade 1 focused on “Transportation,” with classes divided into land, sea, and air groups. They completed an inquiry cycle of questioning, poster-making, and constructing with recycled materials. Integrating STEAM concepts, they explored the evolution of transport and held an English debate on “global warming,” showcasing scientific literacy and critical thinking. Under the theme “Sharing the Planet,” Grade 2 students designed fashion with waste materials and presented a runway show and group reports, conveying the idea of sharing our common home. G4E delivered excellent presentations, confidently sharing their disaster safety plans with parents and peers. They expressed their knowledge deeply by clearly explaining the causes, impacts, and community responses to natural disasters, demonstrating strong research, critical thinking, and a genuine understanding of the unit.The presentations were delivered fluently in English; parents interacted actively and highly praised the students’ growth. The event highlighted the comprehensive qualities of active exploration and collaborative cooperation.
